About
established in 2019
R.E.L.E.A.S.E Foundation, Inc was formerly known as R.E.L.E.A.S.E Inc, (2010) as a women’s ministry. In April 2019 the name was changed to reflect the new mission of the organization. The original founder, Rosalind White, spent the last 20 years as a school social worker for Gaston County Schools in Gastonia, NC. In this position she began work with teenage girls where she formed a group called Just Girls, developed to address a significant number of young girls who were at risk for dropping out of school. The young ladies often had no parental support, low self-esteem, and behavioral issues.
It has always been Rosalind’s desire to work with girls and young women to help provide a safe space for them to heal from the situations and circumstances that may be a hindrance to them reaching their full potential.
The mission of R.E.L.E.A.S.E Foundation Inc. is to create a safe space for women and girls to realize and release their potential.
Our vision is to empower women and girls to live and lead successfully by developing the queen within. Our purpose is to create programs, curriculum and host workshops designed to rebuild self-esteem and empower young women and girls ages 13-35 who have suffered all types of trauma and abuse. We aim to advocate and foster mentor programs, seminars and rallies that create a safe and nurturing environment.
Creating a Safe Space for Potential to Be Released.
Rosalind White
meet the founder

Rosalind White has been a social worker for over 30 years and has a BA in Psychology from Winston-Salem State University and Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked in various areas from domestic violence, Department of Social Services, Army Community Services and hospital social work.
Throughout her work she developed a passion to work with women and children, helping them with obstacles in life, such as overcoming situations like domestic violence, and sexual and emotional abuse that was impacting their education. She wanted to be able to work with young girls in her community outside of the school system, thus R.E.L.E.A.S.E Foundation was established.
She retired after 20 years in Gaston County Schools as a school social worker, and is currently devoting her time to developing programs, projects and curriculum for the Foundation. Rosalind also works with her husband of 33 years on their two businesses: Healing, Health and Wellness and Love, Tea and Soul Cafe in North Carolina. They have a beautiful daughter named Ashley.
